Castel Components

Castel produces components for refrigeration and air conditioning. Its catalog includes solenoid valves, safety devices, check valves, liquid sight glasses, filters, and valves, with different characteristics depending on their function and operating conditions.

To navigate the range, you need to make two choices: identify what the component needs to do and check which refrigerant it will work with. The Classic, Go Green and Polyhedra lines help you identify the products to evaluate for different applications.

The three Castel lines

Classic — traditional refrigerants. Includes products for systems with A1-rated HFC and HFO refrigerants. The line is also useful for maintaining existing systems, based on the compatibility information indicated for each component.

Go Green — CO₂. Includes products intended for systems that use only CO₂ (R744). Selection requires particular attention to the component's maximum allowable pressure and the conditions at the installation site.

Polyhedra — traditional and A2L refrigerants. Offers components for a wide range of refrigerants, including HFCs and A2L-classified refrigerants. Compatibility with the specific fluid should always be verified in the product data sheet. Polyhedra is not intended for R22 applications.

The main types of Castel components

Solenoid valves

- Solenoid valves electrically control the flow of fluid in the refrigerant circuit. Castel offers models with different capacities, operating pressures, connections, and coils. To identify the right valve, you need to know, among other information, the refrigerant, the system line, the differential pressure, and the coil's power supply voltage.

Safety devices

‎ Safety devices protect system components from overpressure. The range includes products with different set pressures, discharge flow rates, and connections. Their selection requires data on the equipment to be protected and the operating conditions.

Check valves

- Check valves allow refrigerant to flow in only one direction and prevent reverse flow. Castel offers various designs, including hermetic and detachable versions. When selecting a valve, consider the flow direction, connections, and operating conditions.

Liquid indicators

‎‎‎‎ Liquid level indicators allow you to monitor the refrigerant condition in the liquid line. Depending on the model, they can also provide an indication of the presence of moisture. Refrigerant, pressure, and connection type are necessary data to choose the right version.

Filters

‎ filtri help protect the circuit and its components. Castel offers, among other solutions, filter driers for humidity control and mechanical filters to retain impurities. The selection depends on the required function, the location in the system, the refrigerant, and the operating conditions .

Ball valves

‎ Ball Valves allow you to shut off parts of the circuit for installation and service purposes. The catalog includes ball valves , including those with filling connections, and valves with screw-type shut-off valves. The choice must consider the refrigerant, allowable pressure, diameter, and connections.
